It is. We require renter’s insurance, and highly recommend Xercor Insurance, as an additional layer of protection for your belongings as they are kept in our self storage units.
If you decide you no longer need your storage unit, give us a 10-day vacate notice per your lease agreement. From there, move all your belongings out by the end of the 10-day period. We want to make sure your storage experience is as pleasant as possible to the very end.

This is my second time renting a storage unit at this location. Their name is accurate bc your stuff is safe with them. They have cameras everywhere and alarms. The front desk people are very friendly and always happy to assist you. Pedro came to my rescue when my movers were struggling to navigate into the gate. The office wasn’t open yet but he was there getting everything ready for the day and saw what was going on. He came out and walked them through the best way to get in and out.

Also, having a staff member apparently on-site heightened my sense of safety & security. The moving truck is an excellent perk that i was unable to use on the move-in since it was reserved before i requested it. But, it was very disappointing to pass that truck on each of my 10 carloads between 11:30a.m.-8:30p.m. on my move-in day. I imagine it must be complicated to coordinate anything other than all day use policy. But still, i'll imagine this as my opportunity to suggest offering clients all day, early use, mid use & late use…with a cancellation policy. I will end this, grateful for all the calories i burned on my move day. I also appreciate every staff member. Friendly, flexible and helpful at every turn. Billie

Is SafKeep storage right for you? I have rented from several storage unit locations in the past, and I've been actively impressed by Safkeep storage on 3rd street. The employees are very professional, and helpful. The facility swept clean and cleaned daily. The facility feels safe, and all units have individual alarms. Safkeep offer promotional pricing on units, which makes it easy to start renting. Easy lease process. Safkeep is not the cheapest storage you can find, but It's the best storage facility that I've rented from. Very professional experience, and a well kept facility. "Professionalism" is a defining word for Safkeep storage. You can tell that the manager feels proud of the facility, and takes good care of it. As a current tenant, It's important to me be professional towards the employees and facility. They are professional toward me and other tenants. I've rented from other facilities, and while the prices were a bit cheaper, the other facilities were not as clean, and didn't feel as safe. I'm very happy with the service so far at Safkeep storage on 3rd street, and can recommend them. If you choose to rent from them, please be on your best behavior, we have a good thing going on here. Safkeep is friendly to both individuals and businesses. Many units have lights installed in them, which is nice. I recently rented a 2nd unit from them. Glad to be here, and I'm grateful that the facility is well taken care of. Safkeep storage will take good care of you.

Staff is super helpful and goes the extra mile to make moving into and managing your unit a breeze. Their prices are reasonable, location is convenient, and operating hours are well suited to customers needs.

This facility is not professional and a total scam. My friend recommended this place and so I took a chance. Called three weeks ago while I was in Hawaii and planning and relo to the Bay. I had a lovely chat with an employee name Monique who talked me through the process, told me they had a moving truck for FREE that could also be used, and even took my deposit (apparently non-refundable) using a DEBIT CARD. I fly in yesterday and make my way to the facility and give a courtesy call while on public transit to let them know I was on my way and would arrive in the next 30min. A different person answered the phone and long story short told me that there is a cash dep for the truck (something not communicated by Monique and that to finalise the rental agreement they would need a major credit card and not a DEBIT card (the same card I used for my deposit). Note my friend who recommended the facility doesn’t/didn’t use a major credit card either. I wonder how many people they scam out of the deposit. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well. Beware.
